ArtFields 2026 to bring weeks of art, visitors, economic boost to Lake City

April 2, 2026

LAKE CITY, S.C. — The 2026 ArtFields festival, one of the largest art competitions in the Southeast, is set to kick off next week in downtown Lake City, bringing thousands of visitors and a major boost to local businesses.

Residents may already be noticing new artwork appearing along their daily commutes and inside local shops, as crews prepare for what organizers say could be their biggest festival yet.

This year marks a major change; ArtFields will run for three weeks instead of its traditional nine-day schedule.

“Our thought was expanding opportunities for visitors to experience the artwork, explore Lake City, and enjoy the festival, while also including more programming,” said ArtFields Fine Arts Manager Kyle Coleman.
